Days 26-30

Here is my catch up post for the "Your Kids 30 Day June Photo Challenge".

Day 26: Silhouette

My two babies. They are best buds. Hannah loves to give Lucy kisses on the nose.

Day 27: Glasses
Hannah really looks like her daddy with his glasses on. She thought it was pretty funny looking through them.

Day 28: Technology
Even an 18 month old understands how to use a smartphone. Not to mention it frustrates them too ;)

Day 29: Silly
Ever since Hannah was a baby she has really enjoyed sitting on her daddy's shoulders. No matter what her mood, put her there and she automatically gets a big smile on her face.
Day 30: Fun
Wow, another 30 days come and gone. Here we are at the Greensboro Grasshopper's Baseball game. Hannah thought Guilford the grasshopper was pretty amazing. She also enjoyed waving to the crowd and clapping for the home team.
Hope you enjoyed these as much as I enjoyed doing them! I'm thinking a July Photo Challenge....

Graduation Card

My niece just graduated High School so here is the card I made her.
She loves dogs and these are her High School Colors
I love to put money in small envelopes. You get to open it like a present :)
The Envelope. I used the same cap stamp on the front over
her name so it looked like the "S" in Samantha was wearing it.
Turned out really cute.

Days 19-25

Here is my catch up post for the "Your Kids 30 Day June Photo Challenge".

Day 19: Black & White

My big girl loves drinking from straws. I love her little hands gripping such a big cup.
Day 20: Eyes
Still holding onto her blue eyes.
Day 21: Reflection
My wish for Hannah is to always see how beautiful she is when she looks into her reflection. Society makes us hate what we see in the mirror. I wish for her to see that she is her own person with her own looks and that she is BEAUTIFUL just the way she is!
Day 22: Father
Daddy likes to give Hannah shop tours. Here they are laughing at the sound of the miter saw. Hannah is going to be Jeremy's little helper in the shop before we know it. I love watching them interact with each other.
Day 23: Wrapped Up
Hannah and Lucy were having a ball with this blanket. Lucy would watch Hannah get all wrapped up in it. Then Hannah would take the blanket and cover Lucy with it.
Day 24: Caught in the Act
Hannah has discovered the joys of climbing to our dismay. It is really cute but it makes me nervous when I see her standing on something from across the room. She thinks its fun and will decide that is also the time she will do no hands. Her stroller is one of her favorite things to climb on.
Day 25: Bubbles
In the Scuteri house we do things right. If you are going to make bubbles then they have got to be big :)
Until Tomorrow....

Days 13-18

We went away on our daughter's first camping trip this past weekend. It was nice getting away from email, Facebook and the web for a couple days. So here is my catch up post for the "Your Kids 30 Day June Photo Challenge".

Day 14: On the Go
Here we are packing the car for Hannah's first camping trip. Hannah was very interested in all the bags we had. She proceeded to try and empty them as fast as we were trying to pack them in the car.
Day 15: Water
While out and about in Asheville Hannah found this fun water fountain to play in.

Day 16: Sleeping
Hannah did great camping. We would put her to bed in the pack n'play and at some point late at night she would wake up and cry. Jeremy would get her and put her in bed with us and she would go back to sleep. We were not sure if she would get too cold or wake up not knowing where she was. But she did great :)
Day 17: In Disguise
Hannah likes to put on anything she can find. She was really interested in my gloves. I think she's ready to go out on the town :)
 Day 18: Playground
It's a rainy day so going to an actual playground was out of the question. Yet it does not matter because the world is Hannah's playground. Tonight Hannah is reminding us that we have not yet put away all our camping stuff from the weekend. She is dragging as many bags as she can around the house.

Day 12: Shadow

Today was a gloomy yucky rainy day so I dug up this gem from a month ago. It's one of my favorites. I love when the bean holds my hand while we walk together. Melts my heart!

Day 11: Ride

Poor Lucy is learning the ups and downs of having a human sister. Time to teach Hannah that Lucy is not a horse. Lucy is such a great dog. She just gets up and moves away from her.
This photo was taken by the hubby :)

Day 11: Ball

I love doing these kind of photos right now. A still photo just does not always capture what is going on with a toddler. It's all about the continuous action!

Here we are playing with her favorite ball before her bath. She loved to throw it at me and then I would kick it back at her. She thought that was hysterical. It was so cute watching her put it way behind her head and then throwing it.

Day 10: Sidewalk

Hannah enjoys sidewalk chalk. Too bad she enjoys eating it more than drawing with it!

Day 9: Out & About

Today Hannah and I found ourselves "Out & About" at Costco. Hannah  enjoyed saying bye to everyone. She also tried to pull things off shelves if the cart got too close. I love shopping with my bean :)

Day 8: Blue

Today's photo challenge was blue. It's funny because it just so happens I ran my first 10K today and the race was called Blue 5K/10K on the Runway at PTI. The shirts we got were blue. So I thought it would be cute to get a picture of Hannah in my shirt. She makes the shirt look huge, haha.

Day 7: BFF

These two are truly best friends. Where one is the other is not far behind. I love their relationship. It is so cute. Lately we have been teaching Hannah how to feed Lucy.

Day 6: Eating

Hannah is getting really good at using a spoon. It is fun to watch her improve her motor skills. She still gets a lot on her face as you can see. Here she is enjoying a bowl of peach yogurt. After eating her first bite she said "mmmmm"

Dad's Birthday Card 2012

I made this birthday card a while ago for my dad but never shared it.

I love making small envelopes with my Cricut for gift cards.

Forest Diaper Cake

One of my favorite homemade gifts to give are diaper cakes. They are so easy and really fun to make. I like doing completely different themes each time. I've done zoo animal type diaper cakes. I've also done a monster themed one. For this one I did a forest themed diaper cake.

Here are the steps to how I make my diaper cakes:

You will need some diapers, ribbon, some accessories (I used teethers),
a topper (I like to use stuffed animals). Different sized round cake pans and
large rubber bands.
I just happen to have these three cake pans that work really well.
I take the diapers and fan them out like you see above.

Day 5: Close-Up

Some parents worry about their kids not eating enough. We worry that Hannah has a bottomless pit of a stomach. The girl can eat! In today's close-up theme I captured Hannah's reaction to dinner being over. Notice the crazy hair full of food. This is her new reaction when she gets upset. She is upset because there is no more food. The best part is within a minute of this photo she is running around laughing. Got to love the mood swings of a toddler :)

Day 4: You & Me

Hannah and I enjoy walking the neighborhood together. She likes to watch the kids play and say "bye, bye" to any cars driving by. She loves running down the hills. She collects sticks and rocks and gives them to me saying Dada. Not sure if she actually intends for them to be given to him, but it is really cute. She used to like to hold my hand but now she thinks she is a big girl and pushes me away. Where does the time go...

Cards For Special Life Events

An update of some cards I have made this year.

One of my husband's coworkers just bought a new house that they had built. So I made this card for their house warming party. There house is beautiful and we were happy to celebrate with them.
A house card with door envelope
A close up of the house. I wish I would have cut out the house so that the yellow chevron
pattern was going horizontal instead. Oh well, I didn't want to waste paper.

For a while it seemed like we were going to lots of weddings. Well now those weddings have turned into baby showers. I love being a part of each life event from marriage to babies. Life is so precious.

A friend that I used to work with is having a baby girl. She was visiting from Colorado so I wanted to give her something easy to travel back with.

I made this cute little diaper for the envelope. I used washi tape to tape it closed.
I love washi tape for cards because it is great to keep reusing to open and secure items.
On the back side of this was a small envelope holding a Target Gift Card.

There must have been something in the water, because another girl I worked with at the same job is also expecting a baby girl. She had a gender reveal party. You were to wear green if you thought the baby is a girl and blue if you think a boy. I obviously thought she was having a girl. Look at all that green. I was right too!
This gift bag had a perfect flap to hold my card. It also just happened
to match really well too.
I liked this patterned paper a lot, so I used it for the card and the envelope.
And how cute is that bear :)
More to come.... Stay tuned :)

Day 3: Play Time

Hannah loves her slide. She likes to climb the ladder and then sit at the top waiting to see if anyone is watching. Then she laughs when she sees that someone is and goes down it. She usually then runs back over to do it all again.

Day 2: Feet

We went to the pool today and captured some fun underwater shots. I think my daughter's cute little shriveled feet under water are so cute. What is it about little feet that is so adorable?

Day 1: Emotion

I'm excited to start this new photo challenge. The first day is "Emotion". With toddlers there is a range of emotions that happen in a matter of seconds. My daughter can go from happy to crying to laughing in seconds. It is pretty funny (not so much in public). Here she is taking out her "pretties" (hair ties). She likes to rip them out and then ask me to put them back in. She is so silly.

Show me your "Emotion" day 1 photo :)
